Orca doesn’t know what she’s doing with her life… The orphaned daughter of dissidents, Orca has fled her home to take over her aunt’s bric-a-brac shop. Living in the bohemian student quarter of the post-war metropolis of Inverdun, Orca has real friends for the first time in her life. But something is deeply wrong – with her aunt’s shop, with Orca and maybe even with Inverdun itself…
Orca Unravelling is a bit different to my usual fare – it has a real story, for starters, and that also means less sex. If you’re just here for the hot sex, I love you and Orca might not be for you. Alternatively, if you’d like to see what happens when I try my hand at something different, read on 💖💖💖
Orca Unravelling: Chapter 1
‘I think you should sleep with Galden.’
Sex is my best friend Alice’s solution to everything. This time, I didn’t even know what the problem was but I already knew that Galden wasn’t the answer.
‘Why should I sleep with Galden?’ I asked baldly, pulling a picture frame off the wall and peering behind it.
The mould hadn’t returned. Excellent. Of course, the wall was still a terrible colour. I needed to paint it. This was what I needed to spend my time doing — looking after my business, not randomly screwing whichever guy Alice wanted to set me up with this week.
Alice — my friend, my confidant, my cheerful, inevitable pest — reeled off answers to my question without even taking time to think.
‘He’s hot, he’s kind, he has his own money and he needs a meaningless fling,’ she counted the answers on her fingers. ‘That’s four. Oh — did I mention that he’s hot?’ she added, and I shook my head at her in mock disgust.
‘What about me?’ I said, peering behind another picture frame, before sliding down off the ladder to look behind the big mirror.
I had inherited the shop from my aunt and now, only a couple of months later, I already knew far too much about my father’s twin sister. She had been lazy and spendthrift and I was coming to the conclusion that she had been cruel as well.
‘What about you?’ Alice asked, a wicked twinkle in her eyes.
‘You could help,’ I complained, mock-glaring at her. ‘Instead of sitting there on my desk, plotting and scheming to get me laid.’
‘I am helping,’ Alice winked at me, before taking a bite of hotcake. ‘This is helping. This is what friends do.’
‘You’re not,’ I grumbled, although I didn’t really mean it and Alice knew it. She was on a day off from work and she had brought me hotcakes for afternoon tea. Alongside the tea I had brewed for us in my tiny, barely functional kitchen, it was heaven. ‘Thank you for the cakes, though,’ I added, feeling suddenly guilty.
Alice was my best friend and I had done nothing but grouch at her all week. I had been in a bad mood and I didn’t even really know why. I was too stressed to even sit down with her when she brought me cakes, instead leaving it to her to sit while I prowled the shop restlessly.
‘You’re welcome,’ Alice smiled sweetly, crossing her legs and using her hands on my desk to stretch, deliberately pushing her bosom higher while she rocked her shoulders back and forth as if in time to unheard music. She preened. ‘Galden’s good,’ she said, winking at me again as she returned to her new favourite topic. ‘He’s generous, he lets you have your fun first and second, and then…’
‘Alice!’ I said, unable to stop myself from laughing out loud.
My favourite person, unrepentant, kept talking.
‘And he’s well hung,’ she added, winking at me. ‘Like, seriously. Nine inches of hard, stiff manhood and he knows just how to plant it deep inside a girl. He likes fucking and he’s good at it. You’d be good for him.’
I tried not to let myself imagine fucking Galden. Actually, I tried not to imagine fucking nine inches of Galden’s stiff, hard dick. To be honest, I didn’t quite succeed. I felt breathless at the thought, and I knew I was wet between my legs.
‘You already fucked him?’ I asked, amused despite myself. Actually, I’m not sure Alice would set me up with someone she hadn’t tried herself. Alice takes good care of me, even if in a weird way. ‘Anyway, what about me?’ I asked grumpily, taking my third hotcake. ‘You told me what he needs. What about me? My needs?’
Too late, as she grinned smugly, I realised I had let myself fall into her trap.
‘I told you about what he needs because you always put others’ needs ahead of your own,’ Alice winked at me again. ‘Tell me I’m wrong,’ she challenged, a saucy tilt to the smile on her lips.
I glared at her but she was right, damn her. Being told that I would be good for our mutual friend Galden — just that information had turned me on like you wouldn’t believe. I thought about his serious smile and his kindness, and it made me melt a little that she thought I could give him something special.
Damn submissive brain, I grumbled to myself. That’s why I struggle so hard to find what I want and I let myself drift with the flow way too much.
‘Anyway, you need a meaningless fling too,’ Alice said, dead straight, and I blushed. Alice, bless her, never learned how not to say the thoughts that come into her head. ‘You look like death,’ she added mercilessly. ‘You’re working too hard on this horrible messy shop that your aunt never looked after. You need some fun. You need to let go — safely, with someone who doesn’t matter.’
‘I don’t need that,’ I said, gathering up some more books for dusting. ‘Anyway…’ I blushed. ‘Not with Galden. He…’
He would matter, I thought to myself quietly. I didn’t mean that I would fall in love with him. Simply that I wasn’t sure that I could fuck him and have it mean nothing.
Galden was one of the hottest and the kindest men I knew. I guessed that he was probably ten or even fifteen years older than I was but it really didn’t make a difference. If anything, his calm experience and wisdom only increased his hotness.
I really didn’t think he would be interested in a meek, shy girl who didn’t even know what she was doing with her aunt’s stupid shop let alone her own life.
Alice shrugged, letting it go.
That’s what I love about her. She’s fierce and bossy, but she never pushes me into things, and she knows when to stop.
‘Let me know if you change your mind,’ she winked. ‘What are you trying to do with those pictures anyway?’
Let me know if you liked it! I’ll publish more of this from time to time – as always I never have enough time to write and honestly the messed up state of our world doesn’t make it any easier 💖. If I finish it, there’s a chance it’ll get published under a different pen name, but I’ll let people here know anyway – xxx Pixie.
