Comment: Many of the themes of your shamefully, powerfully arousing stories align and overlap with racial and sexual stereotypes and tropes involving women and girls of color generally and Black women and girls in particular. Viewing and treating Blacks as less intelligent, childlike, hypersexual, in need of close, often harsh and cruel, humiliating and degrading supervision and control, and/or, at best, condescending pseudo-affection or affectations or confections of affection.
Question: Have you considered and would you be interested in a story or set of stories incorporating raceplay?
I ask this a Black feminist, anti-racist professor and mother of a black and biracial daughters with very dark, most shameful, powerful, obsessive-compulsive, furtive fantasies and cravings do indeed ‘go there’ to those most taboo, transgressive, disgraceful places.

Hi! Thanks for the question and thank you for sharing. I don’t put raceplay in my stories for two reasons.
The main one is that it isn’t a fetish of mine and I write stories about things that I find hot. That’s the only way I can sit down and write and make sure that I keep writing. I’ve read a fair few stories with raceplay in them over the years and usually I get to the end and say ‘that was some really hot submission and degradation but the raceplay in it did absolutely nothing for me’.
The second reason is that I’m a white femme person from Australia and I don’t think I would feel happy about myself if I wrote a story that explicitly put down / degraded Black people or People of Colour or Indigenous people. It’s a tension for me personally because if I was writing any other genre, I would make sure my characters were genuinely diverse because I really believe in that. And I know that many of the people who want raceplay in erotica are themselves Black because our fetishes can often come out of really bad things that have happened to us or people like us. But still – I wouldn’t feel comfortable. I don’t think I have the personal lived experiences to be able to write a story with raceplay appropriately.
